Hi Everybody, Thanks for all the replies to my question on programmer authorities. Here's a new one. How do you charge your user base for machine usage? We currently use a percentage of cpu time per company in the group, but I find this highly inaccurate as some companies use more at specific times of the year than they do for the remainder. One company closes down in December, so their percentage is lower due to 11 months usage over a 12 month reporting period, even though their usage is quite high over the year. I want to change it to a combination of interactive transactions, batch jobs submitted and i/o requests to the data base. What do other companies do?
