The  question is should MIS  own the entire Enterprise issue?

I think not !  As there is more effort then IT can handle in the remaining
time frame  enter other resources and partners

On IBM  having the easier  part - 
 Well  they are still kicking ass to get ya'll to get started - so they
have all there customers at the other end whilst not being sued .  Then
there is the  hardware and normal business issues that  adjoin the Y2K
efforts.
