Sys/36 uses sliding window y2k in the operating system. It won't fall over dead on 03 Jan 2000. Unless the user's files are heavily indexed and sorted on dates he'll be able to run with a few silly looking quirks and a few downright bad-things. If the user is running a Sys/36 it is probably a very static situation. I see hurt coming and embarassment, but any company that fails because of Y2K was on the banana peel anyway. ---------------------------------------------------- Booth Martin Contract Programming, Inc. --------------------------------------------------- +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to "MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com". | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MAJORDOMO@midrange.com | and specify 'unsubscribe MIDRANGE-L' in the body of your message. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
