Nifty little macros. What will we do without them? BTW has IBM >fixed the default keyboard map used in the macros (instead of using the >current customized keyboard map?) Hi, Dave I do the same, with an autostart macro, but only so far as positioning the cursor for password entry. It's a security leak to put the password in a macro, though we've many of us done it for years. As far as the keyboard mapping goes, I wish IBM would provide a choice of maps. So far, they've given us one that matches the 5250 layout for the most part. For people coming from the green screen, this is often preferable. IBM does have some informational APARs the subject at http://www.as400.ibm.com/clientaccess Fortunately, the mapping is very easily changed, so the issue is mostly moot, as far a I'm concerned. BTW, there is no HEX key facility built into PC5250. You need to write macros for that kind of thing. The code for the macro is APL nn where nn is the EBCDIC hex value for the character or code.
