We had the same problem. We are not using client access, but connect all of our PC's to the AS/400 via TCP/IP. We ended up developing a solution using Microsoft Access and FTP. The user starts the Access application and an AS/400 terminal session on their computer. They can they display the spool file attributes, and hit Copy on the 400 session. They press Paste on the Access screen, which then uses FTP and the spool file info to copy the spool file to a database file using RCMD, and then does a GET of the database file to transfer it to their PC, then attach the PC file into a mail attachment. If the user has Monarch on their system, it will also run a Monarch script to parse the spool file and convert it into an Excel file. It might seem a little convoluted, but it works very well for us. I would like this to be somewhat automated if possible. Has anyone ever done this? If so how? I am using TCP/IP. Thanks, Kim Name: Kim Lykins Company: Pepperl+Fuchs, Inc.
