Our programmers have read-only access to production data. They have use
rights to production programs. We use Aldon's Change Management System to
control movement of programs to production (via a QA environment).

Our programmers do have profiles as Users, which does allow them to access
production files. Yeah, but it's not -my- idea! However, as a user, they
are subject to the controls put in place by the programs.

They're not supposed to have *ALLOBJ rights.

Of course, programmers do NOT have access to the Payroll system.
