Well, that's my trouble--I'm half Swedish, half Norwegian, same as both my
parents. People wonder how I can live with myself!

My mother's father was Norwegian, so that's what was mainly spoken in that
home. My father's father was Swedish, and that was the primary language in
his home. I'm second generation American--all my grandparents came to
America in the late 1800's, settling in northwestern Minnesota.
