If you have a data warehousing-type application where a HUGE file receives a HUGE number of deleted records on a regular basis, DON'T use it. "Filling in the holes" can be as slow as Juris' desire to fill in holes using a 3GL application. If you delete a large number of records at one time, RGZPFM is still your best bet...
