You really hate your users, don't you?  The problem with auto-refresh
programs is that, unless they are written very carefully, they run away
with all the resources in the system.  You need to change the job to lower
the priority, shrink the timeslice, or both.  Then restore same when F3 is
pressed.

That said, it's not hard to write a program that just says, "WRITE...
WRITE... WRITE..."  which will give you the updates... just stick it in a
loop.

As far as the subfile is concerned, consider a 2-subfile display file.
Load SFL-A, display it, load SFL-B, display it, repeat.  Lets the screen
remain static as you load the next update, instead of blanking out.

If you want the user to be able to scroll up and down at the same time, you
could do a READ with timeout; if the user didn't key anything in x seconds,
you'd update and go on.
