So nothing from _that_ file would appear in NETSTAT. Now the addresses in the HOSTS file on the 400 maybe could be used for this, but my guess is that, since the connection is based on dotted-decimal address and not the character-type names, that's all that gets reported. I've not looked at NETSTAT on a UNIX box for a long time, but that's the original upon which the AS400 version is based.
