Venu,

Create a logical view of OFIL, including the main key followed by the
timestamp to define the access path. If you have a File1 record flag,
you could select just those records. If it's a multiple format logical,
just read the record format name instead of the file. Then, do something
like:

C                         eval    OFTimeStp = Z'01-01-00-00:00:00'
C         MainKeyFld      setgt   OFIL
C         MainKeyFld      readpe  OFIL                    99

At this point, you should have the highest timestamp for MainKeyFld, or
if no such record exists, you would have 01-01-00-00:00:00. Indicator 99
doesn't do anything except make RPG happy.
