I have a bit of an advantage with BPCS.  It has it's own create display file
command that keeps track of which programs should have it and which
shouldn't.  You are right, this can be problematic when adding a call from a
user-written program, although the CHGDSPF command can easily fix it.

I didn't say that it was wrong, in fact I mentioned that I know of several
sites that do this.  "Keeping track" might be a consideration, though, if you
have a dial-up application that is performance-bound.  Basically, its
personal preference based upon perceived performance by the users...
