We are running Novell for SAA 4.1. Our network person has recently put on patches to Novell that were necessary to enable an application to run. Since then when the AS400 does an IPL (once a week in our shop) people on the network cannot connect untill the server is downed and restarted. This means someone comming in to do this in the middle of the night. Not fun, but the Emergency Room is on the network. Does anyone know how to automate the Novell server to go down and up at a certain time and day?? Or of any new patches for Novell to allow it to reconnect to the 400 without having to be downed? Thanks for any acvice you can give.
