Well, as 2000 has come up, may I state my opinion.

I have been looking at Y2K products for a few years. Barsa Consulting has
even co-developed one with another firm.

>From my perspective, IBM's new product, BYPASS/2000 is far and away the
best product. It is missing an investigative tool (which is supposed to be
available in 3Q97), and the current documentation 'sucks' (as someone once
said about V3R1 at COMMON). It stores data in your database in 8 digits,
and prints/displays data in 6 digits.

CPU Intensive - *NOMAX (development environment)

Prettyness of Code when finished - *ACCEPTABLE (but not *OPTIMAL) - they're
working on this.

Efficiency of Code when working - well when I saw it, it wasn't good
enough, but IBM has committed to make this fix available soon (we may have
gotten the PTF today)

PS: Yes, I am an IBM Business Partner, and when I sell this product I make
a profit on it (although I could on any other product). So if you read
this note, PLEASE buy this product from someone else. Believe it or not,
neither IBM nor I care about making money on this product. I care about
AS/400 customers going out of business in 1Q2000. I am sick about the
TAATOOL flaming that's going on. Thank you all for those that have
supported me. And for those that haven't, have a pleasant day.
