Thank you all for writing in reply to my question. I have followed your advice and set up a library call TEMP. The application that used the library is from an excellent utility in NEWS/400 (I don't remember when it appeared, more than a year ago) that allows you to see what is on a user's screen from your terminal. It is better than copy screen in that you can control when the screen is refreshed and are not one screen behind. The utility creates message queues in a temporary library to pass the 5250 information.
