   The License Internal Code (LIC) PTF adds additional space that OS/400
needs for new Microcode features & new hardware.  Its not like you get
anything from adding the PTF, except for the fact that your upgrade will
work.  If you remember, when you upgraded a 9402 or 9404 from Version 2
to Version 3, you had to increase the size for the LIC, when you go to
V3R2, all CISC boxes require you to add this additional space.

   As for the SETDSKCLN, I am not sure what it does.  I have been to
accounts that have not run SETDSKCLN prior to upgrading to V3R2 (Not
recommending this), but it identifies and fixes something to do with
data on your disks. Perhaps Neil might be able to elaborate on this.
