Now this should be derived from the item master/balance whatever file. We keep it to capture the cost at point of order picking. There are times when point of occurance data is required. It is not considered redundant since an hour later a shipment may come in which changes the cost of inventory. But since this order is in transit it is no longer in inventory and should not be affected by subsequent changes to the inventory value.
