For RAID5 that means DUAL DRIVE FAILURE in the same 9337 or equiv(yes it does happen). I had a case where a customer had multi ASPs and for whatever the reason had parts of all 3 ASP's across several different 9337's and in one case all 3 ASPs were partially on the same 9337. That 9337 lost 2 HDAs during a NASTY power hit. A complete reload had to be done ALL journals were lost etc. "IF" the ASP'd had been laid out differently, MAYBE depending which ASP was affected, a partial restore would have been in order. It could have been just a loss of journals? something to consider -- Kirk Goins DecisionOne - Portland, OR EMAIL kgoins@ix.netcom.com 71445.1231@compuserve.com * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * This is the Midrange System Mailing List!
