Another alternative would be to use an API, there misht be on for RUNQRY, but probably not (Since we need it!!) Had a similar problem trying to write a Validity checking program for CHGJOB command. One of the solutions provided simply had 50 one byte paramaters, then you could enter a parameter in the command, the VCP would execute, then it would do a DMP on the program. Unpassed paramaters would have an error message, the passsed paramater would not.
