Tim:

If you don't want the QPADEVnnn names, you can simply rename the
devices. We did this and also created more devices to ensure that we
weren't going to have any QPADEVnnn created.

If you create or rename, make sure the devices have the correct
type and model number. We had a few that somehow got changed to the wrong
type, and then the CA95 couldn't change them back to the proper value for
some users, possibly due to authority problems or other unknown cause. We
had to delete and re-create those devices with proper type. We never found
out why some users had problems and others not since they were all in the
same group profile, but deleting and re-creating solved it permanently for
some also-unknown reason. The symptom of the problem was that we had a few
programmers whose PCs refused to run the regular 5250 emulation but would
run properly with "Graphical Access".

                                Best Regards,
                                L. Paul Andralouis
