Dave:

Thanks a lot.  The support staff helped a lot.  They mentioned that the
stalling occurs after either a change of form or out of forms happens on
the printer.  Once that happens, the AS/400 completely loses communication
with the printer.  There suggestion is to make sure that the printer is put
in a off-line state before removing the paper tray.  We will see!
