It sounds like the printer setup on the twinax terminal has been altered.
Possible the equivalent of the setting on 3197's that determine whether
you have 10(cpi) 15(cpi) or SY (system defined).  Check the manual (if 
you have one) for the 1477C - or just experiment with the SETUP feature.
