Don't waste your time.  The "OVRDBF Position" Doesn't work worth a @#*&%$.
You could write a RPG program in 10 statements or less and have the whole
thing be productional by the time you get the 1st ovrdbf bug half figured
out.   It doesn't work.  Write the call to RPG do the chain, return back
a parm with the info you need,  Put into production(25 minutes spent) and 
be onto your next project.  

Its only a tease.  IBM will never (in my opinion) make it work correctly.
