Yes - at the time of my original answer I was unaware of the RUNRMTCMD that Jeff Silberberg mentioned in his reply. This command was new at V3R1. The RS/6000 must be running the "rexecd" daemon. RUNRMTCMD can also be used to run a command on the new CA/400 optimized clients, but you must use the *SNA option in this case. This uses the "arexecd" APPC daemon. I believe that in V3R1 & V3R6 the RUNRMTCMD was only installed with the (no charge) OS/400 option 12 (Host Servers), but was moved into the base OS/400 code with V3R6 (and I presume V3R2).
