We want to know if this is possible because we don't want to

one for the PC and one for the AS400. We want to do all of our

design and printing on the PC. We have both the AS/400 and multiple
  Unix machines.

If anyone is using the product then we would be very interested in
  getting
some additional information. We have already been to JetForm's WEb
  site.
Secondly, we had JetForm come in and talk to us but we still were
  left with many
  unanswered questions.

We have tested the product over a year ago here at Marquip. If I
remember correctly the entire design can be done on the PC, however, it
will need to be ported or transfered to the AS/400 to be converted to an
Overlay. It is possible to then use the overlays that are created
outside of the Jet Form Merge product, however I found that to be more
difficult.

It is possible to use anything including Word to design your overlays,
but the DDS for the printer file where the form will be used does need
to be modified and without using JetForm utility to send the spoolfile
and overlay to the printer, the printer will have to be an IPDS
printer. This is not a problem as long the printer you are using is not
connected through a router such as Client Access or NS/Router.
