This kind of thing kind of baffles me ... as an information technology professional, I consider it to be part and parcel of my job to learn new technology, languages, operating systems, etc. Yes, I'm a computer geek ... I *ENJOY* playing with hardware and software in my spare time. And, honestly, I seriously doubt I would have nearly as much value to my current employer if I didn't play with technology. Of course, I also saw the writing on the wall ... non-homogeneous system integration was, and is, the wave of the future ... and if don't at least UNDERSTAND what the other systems are doing, you are going to be at a serious disadvantage. david
