Hi,

I'm not sure how many UK subscribers there are to this list but here goes
anyway...

I am currently working for a large outsourcing company and the service I am
working on is being taken back in house, putting me in what is known in these
parts of the world as a "reverse TUPE" situation.

I am 36 years old and have been working as an RPG developer and providing
second line application support for the last 8 years. I currently earn around
£32K plus on call and overtime payments (around an extra 5K). I have a good
level of experience, mostly self taught after intial training in RPGIII, and am
comfortable with all flavours of RPG (although having written nearly all new
programs in free format for the last year or so I would not be very keen to go
back to RPGIII).

My question is this: in case I find myself forced into the job market, what is
it like in the London area at the moment for someone like me?

Just putting feelers out so to speak.

Any info or advice (or job offers!) gratefully received.

Martin
