MKS -- iSeries Software Developer --software tools vendor *REPOST*

MKS, Inc. for the past 18 years has been developing tools for AS/400 and
iSeries software developers.  This is a job for a serious candidate that
wants to stay on the leading edge of iSeries technology.

This Software Developer will be a key member of a small team responsible
for the full life cycle of MKS Implementer the leading change management
software for the iSeries 400.

Responsibilities and Qualifications:
·         Analyze, design, develop, document and maintain MKS Implementer.
·         Perform application programming for maintenance and
enhancements, as required.
·         Perform analysis and design for projects.
·         Provide application and system technical support.

Requirements:
·         3+ years experience in iSeries 400 computer programming.
·         Design and analysis.
·         RPG/400, including RPGIII and RPGIV.
·         ILE including service programs, binding directories, and
activation groups.
·         CLP (Control Language) SQL, DB2.
·         Experience with various communications methods, including SNA
and TCP/IP.
·         Experience operating and configuring the iSeries, including
work management, networking, communications, ASP, and LPAR.
·         In-depth experience with OS/400 system API's.
·         Experience with Java on and around the iSeries: JT400; JDBC;
Websphere Studio Client family (plug-in development a plus); Application
Server experience a plus (Tomcat, Weblogic, Jboss, Websphere).
·         Change management experience helpful.
·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
·         Ability to work independently and as a team member.
·         Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
·         Ability to analyze and solve problems.
