Dear Thomas,

I do not mind with the German command and help text, would youplease send a copy of this command to me please.

This is the reasons why we need to do this:

I am an IT Consultant, currently work for the largest IT Banking Solution Provider in Indonesia, which support outsourcing for more than 30 Banks (Conventional and Islamic Bank). At present we have several library which consist of thousand of Objects Programs, most of them was compiled from scattered of physical source file.

We need to do "house keeping" of our systems.
To keep the system integrity we need to merge source members without changes the original timestamp. So we don't need to recompiling of the programs.

Thanks and best regards,
Suharto

Suharto,

I can send to you a German version of CHGMBRDAT. The MI portion of that command was originally written by Leif Svalgaard. I changed the MI program to also change the creation date.

If you do not mind the German command and help text I can send a copy to you.

Thomas Raddatz.

Dear IBM Support,

Under IBM i-Series (AS/400) V4R5M0 Type - 730, S/N: S104GLNM, Maintenance
Contract No.: SS364100. I want to merge Source Member from Source PF to
other Source PF. When I use the CPYSRCF command, the Member timestamp in
target Source PF will be changed to current date and time. I need the
timestamp remain the same with original Members, instead of recompiling
more than thousands of programs (Audit Requirement Source and Object
atribute connection).

Steven Glanstein who is the original author of CHGMBRDAT commands was
mention this on archive.midrange.com/mi400/200008/msg00075.html regarding
this CHGMBRDAT command. Some body mention this command was run on OS/400
V3R2, and this command was missing on later version of OS/400. I have
tried to look in AS/400 library named QSYSV3R2M0 but couldn't found this
command.

Please help,

Suharto
Senior IT Consultant
ex IBMer Indonesia (PSR) 1976-1984
