Thomas, I have a utility which uses the various *MSGF API's to write the MSGF, MSGFLIB, MSGID, first-level text and (some of the) second-level text to a file in QGPL. Then you can write your own search utility over the file. I simply run the LoadMessageFileIntoFile utility once a week or so (or whenever I update the *MSGF) and then search the file. The file-search is very quick. I'd send you the code, but it's owned by my company (oh, and it's RPGII!). You can probably write your own code quicker. Regards, Rory
