Yeah, I'm using O_TEXTDATA + O_RDWR.
 
The documentation for the open() and read() API's talks about 'true'
stream files and 'other' (false?!) stream files (i.e. record-based
database file members in the QSYS.LIB file system. I'm still not sure
whether I can change something in the file header to make these API's
think a source member is a 'true' stream file.
