system object organization

How does the system locate and organize all the system objects ( the
segments that start with a segment header, followed by the EPA header ) on
the system?  Are all the qsys context objects stored in a master context
which in turn might be stored in a file system context object?  Just
guessing.  What I am curious to know is if there is a root context object
located at a fixed SLS address that the system goes to at IPL to locate all
the other objects in the system.
