Looking through the MI archives for something totally unrelated to this post, I found the month of June 2000 to be quite interesting. Gene Gaunt reveals a few holes in the signon mechanism. One via setsppfp(SubSystem) [http://archive.midrange.com/mi400/200006/msg00016.html] and another via the LOGINP display file keyword for signon displays. Following through the threads, it appears that IBM patched these "little buggers". Can I presume that these are part of the base code in V5R2 & above? IOW, we don't have to explicitly find & download these PTF's? Four years later, are there any known signon security exposures that are not well known? Or that require specific attention to close? Thanks, GA __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! Mail has the best spam protection around http://mail.yahoo.com
