In what context are you looking for a definition? In commitment control a
"transaction" would be from first update to a commit/rollback. In
Interactive land it would be from Enter-key to scren refresh. In TPC (-C,
-Web, etc.) it would be well defined in several hundred pages of text <G>

Can you provide the _why_ of your question?

Subject: [MI400] Transaction definition

Hi,

I have problems whit understandig of performance measuring in transaction.
I don't know how can I imagine a transaction in OS/400 or SLIC. Is it
certain number of jobs, proceses, tasks, instructions... ? I can't get the
definition in E-Books or on the Internet. Please, any link or information
would help.
