Your PCO method is the way I'd like to go.  I was using the BASPCO and I 
got errors when I tried to subtract x20 from the offset. 

I agree with everyone that using an API call would be safer, but I am new 
to MI programming and I'd like to try as many different things as I can. 
It's unlikely that any of my work will make it to a production environment 
anytime soon.

well, the my PCO method would be perfect (only a single line
of code).
Although the QUSRJOBI API can also be called via the SEPT. It is
entry number 4898
