I know this is an old message, but I don't see any replies. My audit journals are system managed, but user deleted. I don't mind the system attaching new receivers when the old ones get "big" but obviously for audit journals I don't want the old ones deleted. For journals for commitment control only I use system manager and system deleted. -Walden ------------ Walden H Leverich III President Tech Software (516) 627-3800 x11 (208) 692-3308 eFax WaldenL@TechSoftInc.com http://www.TechSoftInc.com Quiquid latine dictum sit altum viditur. Now, one question about the QAUDJRN journal - should this be system managed or user managed? Mine is currently set to user managed but I think that's just because I created it some time ago when system management was not an option. Create a journal receiver, create the journal QAUDJRN and attach it to the receiver. Change the system value QAUDCTL to *AUDLVL and the system value QAUDLVL to include the special value *CREATE. Use an exit program on the RCVJRNE in a batch (e.g. autostart) job to retrieve audit entries and perform the necessary processing. _______________________________________________ This is the MI Programming on the AS400 / iSeries (MI400) mailing list To post a message email: MI400@midrange.com To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/cgi-bin/listinfo/mi400 or email: MI400-request@midrange.com Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/mi400.
