no, that's ok Bob as the library has just been cleaned up and it is empty. Now if yet another process still holds the pointer to the original library, we have serious security breach. By holding on to the pointer once gotten for an extended period of time, one will be able to peek in QTEMPs for many jobs as time goes by. Or maybe something like this was what you had in mind... ----- Original Message ----- From: Bob Crothers <bob2@CStoneIndy.com> To: <mi400@midrange.com> Sent: Thursday, October 03, 2002 8:02 PM Subject: RE: [MI400] Displaying objects in other job's QTEMP library In the below situation, what happens when job C comes along and starts using the "recycled" qtemp? Seems like a good formula for very strange things. Yeah, I gathered that was what Njål Fisketjøn was saying. As He said, "You can, but it's a bit dangerous." Any other problems You know of, besides that...? _______________________________________________ This is the MI Programming on the AS400 / iSeries (MI400) mailing list To post a message email: MI400@midrange.com To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/cgi-bin/listinfo/mi400 or email: MI400-request@midrange.com Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/mi400.
