Holy Cow Batman! If I was Jon, I'd tell the whole lot of you to take a flying leap. You have the benefit of his extremely in-depth knowledge of the development of RPG and the inner workings of the Toronto labs. And what do you do? Things like "Bullshit alarm just went off". Leif is also very guilty in this area. The way some of the posts read on this list, you'd think Jon single handed turned the AS/400 into a dog turd. My question to you is when was the last time YOU developed a system as complex as the AS/400? As STABLE as the AS/400? As SUCCESSFUL as the AS/400? My guess is NEVER. Because if you had, you would be rich and not hanging around bickering about events that happened years ago and REALLY NO LONGER MATTER! If I where you, I'd be stroking Jon for all he was worth. He is an awesome resource for a list like MI400 and likely the BEST resource on this list! Which brings up another point. Anytime a current IBM'r shows their face on this list, he/she gets jumped all over in the SAME manner. Ever wonder why they don't return??? You are acting like children. And snot nosed ones at that. I'm not trolling here. Just expressing my opinion. If you want to flame me, then so be it. If you want to ban me from MI400, then tell me and I'll unsubscribe myself. And I am NOT directing this just at Steve. He is guilty (IMO) this time, but others have been guilty of the above at different times. But this is the 2nd time in this thread this has happened and I just felt the need to speak up.
