They all use a form of linking as far as I know - which was one of the main
points raised as a negative against ILE.

Leif - you are going to disagree with me no matter what I say - so I won't
bother.  Of course we all set out to make it as complicated and obscure as
possible - hell it was a prime directive from IBM HQ!!  There - the secret
is out - are you happy now?
