Hi, Andy, As discussed with Dan Bale, my goal is to ABSOLUTELY secure some source files from use outside our source/object control application. This is one of the methods I am exploring. I do not believe that the data authorities you discuss pertain to the file attributes I discussed in my original message. They clearly list *ADD, *DLT, *UPD, and *READ as allowable authorities to grant or revoke. If you were to revoke authority to *PUBLIC (or a specific user) for these attributes, would that not accomplish your goal? As to your goal, what is it? Be careful of assuming that an individual object's security could prevent access by an intelligent user with *ALLOBJ authority.
