Dear Mr. Gaunt (et al.): What QDB* APIs? The only QDB* APIs I've ever heard of are concerned with retrieving meta-data about a file's format(s), not with actual I/O. In this case, the actual I/O goes through calls to what appears to be the RPG runtime (particularly likely, considering as how the program in question has an RPG compiler's fingerprints all over this section of source code, and used to have them all over most of its 20k+ lines of code). Since the I/O uses system calls for which I have no docs, I've left most of the routines dealing with it alone, except for occasionally making certain "invisible" variables "visible" for debugging purposes, and changing some generated names to more meaningful ones. -- J.Lampert
