It's not really a function of TN5250.  Rather it is a function of the
emulator at the receiving end.  **IF** the emulator can connect as a
graphics-capable device (i.e., 5292) then these orders will work.  The base
Virtual Terminal support used by Telnet allows 15 different device types to
be used.  5292-2, 5555-G01, and 555-G02 are graphics capable devices (the
last two are also DBCS capable).  However most emulators don't let you
choose the device type.  They just let you choose a screen size and they'll
pick a device, usually colour, that supports that screen size.  Thus most
emulators simply support two device types (one that handles 24*80 and one
that handles 27*132).  Very few provide support for the graphics device
types.

Again, GDDM should work if the emulator provides emulation for a
graphics-capable device.
