I am doing my reading, but I am still confused. The PKE algorithms that look to be the most important are the ones used in SSL, digital certificates, and VPN. Are SSL and VPN covered by PKCS#1? The PKE algorithms ( PKEA's?) that are in the public domain since last year, do they include PKCS#1? PKCS is controlled by RSA. Right? Does that mean licensing fees are still involved for each PKCS#? I see that intel got involved with open source PKE last year. Is there a PKE standards organization separate from RSA? Thanks, Steve Richter
