As was noted, the page size is now 4096 bytes. It was 512 bytes on IMPI systems. This change is a good example of how MI forms an abstraction level that generally protects its users from physical attributes like page size. Yet the page size information is available for those few cases where it might matter (MATRMD instruction, option hex 12). You had also asked about translation from virtual addresses to physical main store addresses and DASD locations. This information is not specified at MI, and for good reason. These mechanisms change between some hardware models, but no one writing programs for an AS/400 or iSeries system has to change anything.
