I don't understand - why would I want to permanently store results returned from API ? You say that *USRSPC is treated as a large array - but this is exactly what I mean. Why would I want to permanently store this array ? Alexei Pytel "Leif Svalgaard" To: <MI400@midrange.com> <leif@leif.org cc: > Subject: Re: why the 16meg space size limit? Applications may also use the array-structure to do this. What you are saying is that it would be better for the APIs (and my apps) to use files instead? So again we are abandoning a unique AS/400 trait for the more unix-like "just store it in a file". +--- | This is the MI Programmers Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MI400@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MI400-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MI400-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: dr2@cssas400.com +--- +--- | This is the MI Programmers Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MI400@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MI400-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MI400-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: dr2@cssas400.com +---
