RE: how to create unsigned hexadecimal initial value

If I read your original note correctly, the second one compiled okay.  It
didn't fail until you tried to CPYNV the type H constant into FLAG.  Did I
lose my mind and did this one fail at compile time?

     -- compiles okay into 65535

DCL DD FLAG AUTO BIN(4) UNSGND INIT(H"FFFFFFFF");
     -- fails with CPD6416, "Number was either too large or negative."
