ILE builtin _QTEMPPTR with no parameters returns a pointer to QTEMP. If you MATPTR a pointer to QTEMP you'll see the object name is not "QTEMP", it's something else, and the object type is not X'0401'. The BASPCO POS(H"41") remains unchanged if you service another job, however DMPSYSOBJ shows the target job's PCO and QTEMP. The AS/400 MI Functional Reference shows the creation template for space and index objects.
