Ed, : Object auditing of the file will not allow anyone to determine what records : in the file were read. In fact, only the Open of the file is audited so : there is nothing in the audit journal to indicate that any records were : actually read, updated, or deleted. You are correct. I missed the reference in Colin's note that asked 'which records were read'. I still stand by object auditing, as the closest 'legal' solution to the problem.
