Yes thats  how I read it, 
"the customers have stopped gasping when I say Java is the future
programming language of the AS/400", 
and not "Java is no longer the future programming of the AS/400".

Im not convinced yet, people have been saying this to me for two years,
and yet all of those people that said I should retrain, are still doing
RPG stuff
