If you use STRSST to investigate the V4R4 object you are trying to access
you will find that SST also has a problem with the pointer to the associated
space. There is a pointer defined, but there is no object at that location.

Whether that is a bug in V4R4 or has a reason, maybe Bruce can explain?
Anyway, since you want a pointer to the space, you must be doing something
with the data in the space. What is it you are after? Maybe it is documented
behavior that the space is empty/gone?
